Lol, I had the EXACT same problem. the front door is locked because they turned it into storage and offices, lol. Right where you pull up to park there is a side door that looks like it goes to the shop area, just walk in. I was SO confused till I found that out, I told them to put up a sign or something, see how that went apparently, lol.

I have a few questions. Maybe they have already been hit and if so I apologize!

What are your overall goals out of this car, not just times, but overalls goals.
What size of cam are you planning on putting in it?
Running full exhaust out the back?
Who do you plan on having tune it?

          CooL!

            CooL!

I dont really have "times" goals..

            My goals are as follows:
-Daily Driver (I mean this to the letter, I will not have any other car to drive. If I need lumber... trans am, If its snowing mud... trans am)
-Shit-load of miles... I will be driving it 12months/year and want to do several epic road trips (49 states, rt 66, western europe, etc) aiming for 30,000mi/yr.
-so basically I just want to drive it. thats my goal.

            cam is a 248/256 ~.700" lift 110LSA

            Full exhaust
            -Kooks 2"primaries. 3-1/2" collectors
            -3-1/2" electric cutouts
            -Y-pipe, with 3-1/2" inlets and 3"(stock) outlet
            -Borla adj. catback.

Don't know who will be tuning it,eventually I will have a carPC running HPTuners with RTT. (someone who doesn't lock their tunes)

Let me know if you have any other questions, I love just talking about performance(until I can drive the car)

You're really going to drive it 12 months a year? Even through the snow and salt?

              Used to own a Firebird.

Dude, no offense, but I predict it makes it one year. High horsepower= high stress, and parts just don't live that long. Not saying that you are doing a bad job of building the car, it just isn't going to have the durability.

Sounds like an awesome goal out of the car, I'm a fan! When do you expect it to be completed.... or should I ask hope since we all know with cars nothing ever goes as projected?

We shall see... Everything in motor is designed for much more than Im throwing at it. If it breaks, ill rebuild it. But, what I won't do is, let it sit in the garage, for fear of it breaking.

                          • Where to start...

Ive got 8-900 to spend... burning a whole in my pocket. need to spend it on car parts before I waste it on something dumb.

                            • Assemble the heads first then save up for the longblock?

Yea, I just gotta get some clover lapping compound. and then I need to figure out what springs to go with.

My cam is quite aggressive, and ~.670 lift.... All I can find is springs for ~$400...

Then I need head gaskets. ($170)

                                Then lifters(morel) ($525) , pushrods ($140) , and rockers (???)

                                Then valve covers ($120)
