Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I gotta ask, and maybe this will benefit more than myself, but...is there any advantage to a bushing over a bearing other than possible failure of the bearing? And is a kevlar bushing better than bronze?Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postrecommend a pilot bushing. $2 from any autoparts store. SBC part
Used to own a Firebird.

yeah the bearing can break.
one a strip car the sudden shock to the input puts tons of sideload on the bearing. the bushing doesnt do as good of a job but if a bearing breaks it could also take out 4th and more
trucks and later models use a large bearing. which he could use but would need the input cut then turned down due the the bearing being in the first step in the crank instead of the normal deeper spotLast edited by 1BADAIR; January 18th, 2011, 10:28 PM.

Yea, its about damn time. There were so many BS setbacks. but its here now. im happy about that. but i wouldve rather had it a year ago... I am planning on whining about this for awhile, but Im chalking it up to a life lesson.Originally posted by Purple94Z28 View PostLove It!!! glad to see you got your motor man...now you only got 100 some days to put it in before the meet and greet!!!

Well it turns out there was too much happiness in my life...
The engine in the jeep blew up.... which means, I will most likely have to drop my classes this semester... damn this sucks.
(meaning any money i have/get will not be going to the trans am, so dont expect to see much progess on this for awhile)
