Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
Mike, I dont know if you are still.looking or if you have seen it. There was an upper dash pad on detroit craigs list for $200.00. It is supposed to be factory.

I saw that one. Only issue is the fact I can spend an extra $100 to get one of the ebay abs ones that shouldn't crack.
The car is officially in the garage for the winter. Put storage coverage on it Friday. I have been thinking of some things I want to do to it over the winter since we all know I couldn't just let it sit all winter...
As I have mentioned before. I have the 97-02 dash conversion sitting in the basement. Still need a cluster (which I just need to get around to get from Fred (mongo). Also a HVAC unit as well which should be easy to come by at a junkyard. Also, the dash pad.
The ttop conversion will probably wait closer to spring so the car isn't sitting in the garage with bare filler and bare metal all winter until I can get it into work to repaint the roof. I suppose I could just throw some rattle can etch over it in the meantime.
I still need to hang another light in the garage before I tackle any projects so I can see what I'm doing in there! Thats just the matter of going to my parents house and getting the other plug and play 8 footer.
Seats:
Lately, I've been looking into seats as there aren't many plug and play options without buying a used set that has a bolster on its way out. 6LE's look like the best bang for the buck.
Rear seat delete:
I haven't had the rear seats back in the car since I first bought it back and tore it apart. I was thinking of making a rear seat delete since my brother is pretty handy with wood and I could just wrap it in some carpet but I think ill just buy one. Is there a company still making these?
Taillights:
I just came to the realization that I never wired the taillights properly after swapping to the 98-02 tails. Does anyone have a write up on this? I believe I need to run a wire from the brake switch to the tails.
Exhaust:
In my old age, a quiet, cleaner exhaust has been sounding more and more appealing. I have been thinking of ditching the "dynomouth" for a nice magnaflow or hooker catback. I also have the 2OTL sitting around I will probably end up selling as well. Also I need to get the car up on the hoist (come spring) and re tweek my whole exhaust. I have had a small pesky header leak from the header to the y pipe that I can't seem to get rid of. Biggest thing I hate about these headers is the 3.5" collectors.
Bumper:
I'm still on the hunt for a nice clean front bumper
On another completely unrelated note (kinda)... I have been looking at some 97+ rollers.
Now, I have my eye on one that is a 2000 v6, blown motor, ttop, pewter. Exterior seems to be pretty good shape other than a some sail panel damage which is going to need to be replaced regardless since the bubbling issue.
Option 1) Use it as a parts car (maybe a good dash pad (still waiting for interior pics), seats, front end swap?)
Option 2) build the car I have always wanted, 5.3, turbo, S60, hugger orange!
Option 3) Michael you're a dumbass, you have to many projects as it is. get off craigslist, your girlfriend of 7 years wants a ring...
So lol....
Let me hear your thoughts.

if i was going to do a 5.3 build i would start with an LS car just because im lazy and dont feel like tracking down and swapping a bunch of misc BS that could already be there ready to go. but im sure price is a factor here.
I personally wouldnt front end swap your car. Maybe its just me but unless were talking about a 10-point car I think that level of "frankensteining" actually ends up killing the resale of the car. And I know thats a consideration for you. Also... LT1 SS is a better looking front end anyway

I should of been more specific, front end swap to sell. Not for me specifically.
Although, I also thought swapping it to a 6 speed would help the resale as well :/

I called (text) on 3 cars lastnight...They all lacked interior pics... I have decided to get what I need off of it and part the rest until my parents complain about it being at their house.
1) 1999 V6, motor knocked, hardtop, looked like ok interior. Guy sent me the same 2 pics of the interior he had on Craigslist. I told I saw them already and would like others.
2) 1997 V6, bat motor, ttop, no interior pics, said he would get me some interior pics.... nothing. ( was hoping to salvage front bumper too!)
3) 2000 ish? Cant remember year or find the add. Ass end was ass packed. Lacked interior pics........
I'm looking for a 97 and up. For these reasons....
+Dash pad
+Possibly dash (depending on if I cant clean off this glue on the dash I got)
+Seats
+Cluster (if it is a v8)
+Small odds and ends needed for dash conversion.
+Potentially a lower center console. Not super content with the 97+ one I got.
