IMO, Do the sunoco style hood if you want to do the lid conversion. Its too much hacking to get a lid to fit under a stock hood. It was worth it for me but it wont help your resale.

I really prefer a SS hood or over the Sunoco. Did yours have any more clearance over the stocker?
On another note, I was double checking the hid's to make sure I sent the correct ballast back. This is what I got....Attached Files2002 Z28 Camaro A4

an SS hood offers 0 additional clearance over a stock hood. The area you need the clearance is at least 6 inches ahead of the scoop. It is however an easier material to cut the bracing out of.-Joel

Went to Milan today. Wasn't overly impressed. 60times were kinda week. I was hooking then she would bog. I think I need to get my launch down. Any suggestions. I'm no expert that's for sure.

Well, the best launch technique depends what clutch and suspension setup you have. But, this is the jist of what worked well for my car the last time I ran it (which was my old clutch, stock suspension). Rev it up to about 3500 or so at the light, and on the green nearly let go of the throttle almost completely and dump the clutch... the flywheel inertia will get the car off the line and once the clutch is meshed (should be very quick) you can mash the gas to the floor since it will be a low enough RPM not to spin. its kind of a weird technique and it will seem awkward launching without the gas pedal but if you can dial it in the car should jump off the initial hit a lot harder like an automatic car.
i tried this on the street today with my new clutch and new suspension and it seemed to work even better than it did before.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; September 28th, 2013, 12:32 AM.-Joel

So, I might have found my issue. I might be getting a false knock, either from the cam or the headers/exhaust hitting somewhere. Guys on tech said I should be in the 114-115 mph range. How can I fix this? I know the LT4 km and ks are very hard to come by. Would a dyno tune fix this? Whos the go to LTx dyno guy and how much does he run?
Edit: after doing some research I see that I can't use a LT4 knock module since I'm a 93. Looks like it strictly a tune thing to desensitize it.Last edited by mcalus; September 29th, 2013, 05:27 PM.2002 Z28 Camaro A4

Do you have headwork? Fred is correct, my car traps in the 110-111 range. I trapped 105 with bolt ons!-Joel

Same here. 114-115 seems rather optimistic for cam only to me.-Joel
