Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
Interested to see how they work. I bought some really nice basically brand new OEM lights for bank$$$ and they still suck. Once this things back together I want to go over the lighting of the car again.
Stock lighting is a joke on this thing.
I should have the HIDS Monday or Tuesday.
I pulled the stock housings and the bulbs in the lows. I also pulled the little container thingy behind the lights. Maybe it's a heat shield? Not sure but they have seen better days as well as the black trim rings around the lights. I'm going to sandblast and powdercoat them. If I feel lazy I'll just paint them.

My car has has silverstars installed by the previous owner. They work fine and i hope they continue to last... Theyve been working for at least 10 years now.
Either you never drive at night or you have something ridiculous going on. I've never seen a bulb last 10 years... I got tired of doing the silicone method because my bulbs would only last 1-2 years before blowing out.

I call shenanigans too. I've never seen a Silverstar bulb last 10 months let alone 10 years.
But are you guys driving the car at night at all? I mean - if you only use the headlights one evening drive a month I can see how they'd last a few years...
I'm shocked, they say right on the box that the life expectancy is pretty low. My brother and my co-worker both had them in their trailblazers and I was replacing lights for them at least once a year, not exaggerating. Maybe it's something with those trucks?
Here are the pics of the parts I took off yesterday. I got the "trim rings" all prepped today.
Im going to start powdercoating some more parts in the engine bay. Brackets etc, not as much as looks but more longevity. I need to tackle a lot of things in this front washer/headlight/radiator support area.
