    • I had my original carburetor remanufactured. I am very pleased with how it looks. I installed it tonight but it still needs to fine tuned as I am not happy how it idles. I should have a video by this weekend.

          • Carb looks good. Put your hand over the top of the air horn while it is idling and see if the RPMs go higher or the engine stalls. Higher RPMs would indicate a vacuum leak somewhere.

              Thanks Brent!
The exhaust bothers me as well but it sounds good. The previous owner paid $240.01 for this exhaust in 1998! It will likely be replaced in the future I just couldn't justify trashing a decent exhaust to spend close to a grand on a system I would be happy with.

Care to elaborate more on the wheel combo?

Yeap! When I replace the exhaust I will consider headers but there is a good chance I will keep the manifolds.

Thanks, for the suggestion. The car wants to stall when you cover the air horn so it not a vacuum leak. I hope to look at it closer tomorrow.

Turns out I did have a vacuum leak. The rubber hose at the tranmission modual broke.

Glad you found the vacuum leak. It would really play heck with the carbs vacuum signal for the power valve and idle circuit.

Yes I did. I will reply it shortly. I did some research about what brand they are.

                        • I am pretty impressed with what I accomplished today. My chevelle had a few rare options one being fiber optics lamp monitors. A fiber optic cable would reflect light to an ordiment on the fenders or on the package tray so you could tell if your lights/brake lights/ turn signals/brights were on. The previous owner cut these cables and normally you can't just splice them together. The good news is I am very happy with how well I got my rear fiber optics working.
The bulb on the left is the right tail light, the middle is the licence plate light and one on the right is the left tail light. ill be making some more progress tomorrow.
