You shouldn't have askedOriginally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostVery nice! Wheels coming in soon? What are you doing with the angle iron bolted to the wheel hub?
The angle bar is so I can measure my wheel width options. I would rather the wheel stick further in than further out. (My rear wheel wells are 13.75 inches wide without the lip being modified.) The reason I don't care for 315s on 4th gens is because the bottom of the tire sticks out too much compared to the body line.
.
I can buy four new 17x8 with new 225 50s for $1300 shipped(one piece wheels). But that creates two problems one, 225 50's are too narrow I would prefer 255 45s and 2, I would prefer to have 9.5" wide wheels in back with a 285 tire. With the back spacking I need the 9.5" wheels are a two piece wheels so the wheels would not match. Meaning for the fronts and rears I would need to order 2 piece wheels but that is close to 1300 in wheels alone. Then I would buy 255/45s and 285/40s
It been quiet the learning experience! I been temping to get 18s in back so I can get a tire height I would prefer but the 18s would make my drums brake look too tiny. I wish they made a 275 45 17.Last edited by bri2203; March 12th, 2011, 05:17 PM.

I think the drums being tiny is much less of a deal than the tires/wheels being proportional to the car. There are plenty of ways to address that later!
