You have your own project that keeps you busy among other thing that are going on in your life plus my plans are never concrete, it just worked out today that I was able to be productive. Up next is mounting and wiring the washer fluid contianer.

Thanks for the offer, I will keep it in mind. My list contniues to grow as I check things off. I am considering changing the transmission and maybe adding headers this winter.

Yes it does option code CD2. That is the next item on my checklist to get working properly. The factory actually used scotch locks!, for to light up the washer fluid light bulb. I will be redesigning that.

Up next is routing the washer hoses then I will find out if my my electro tip wipers work properly. That option is very rare 331 units produced.

IMO the coolest option the chevelle has was the fuctional cowl induction hood. Meaning the hood had door at the high pressure area in front of the windshield and it would open and feed fresh air to the carburetor when it was floored.

i remember that my moms ex bf had that option, he let me drive it and i got too distracted by how cool that was, so he told me to rev it up in the driveway. boy was it awesome to hear that 396 roar and feel the ground just shake. he later sold it on barret jackson i believe or something similar

reminds me of my 83 camaro Z28 with the fuctional ram air when floored (had the cross-fire fuel injection system)

depends ifit was facotry or not, lots of people ive noticed throw on the original hoods and hack up the functionality of it, others buy aftermarkets that are just open, but the original option were all vaccuum i do believe

Yes it is vacuum cocntroled. The ones that you see are either broken or they fixed to stay open all the time. Some people even reverse the door so it was more of a scoop because they are not aware of the high pressure area at the windshield
