Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Got the torque converter bolted in, headers on, starter on, and wiring harness all connected last night. Just need to replace the torque arm bushing and it should be ready to go back in. I still need to replace my rear end seal and put in the new brake master cylinder.
Last night I didn't feel like getting down and dirty so I messed with some of the wiring and took out the coolant level sensor and cleaned it since I was getting the low coolant light randomly. Then today I got the driveshaft and torque arm back on with the new poly torque arm bushing. Last pic is of my helper, Charlie. I need to teach him how to fetch a wrench.
Friday - took off from work a bit early to finish up a few things: some wiring, battery, fluids. Then after pushing the car out of my garage, I realized my shifter cable wasn't working properly. It would go down PRND but not back up. Found it on Amazon on ordered it with next day delivery.
Saturday - The shifter cable arrived around 11am and I got to work tearing it out and replacing it. Pushed it back out of the garage, hooked up the battery tender, and started to top off the coolant. That's when I noticed coolant leaking under the car at a pretty good rate. Apparently you are supposed to put a plug in the back of the passenger side head. Found the plug in my old head and was able to get it in with just pulling the coil pack bracket. After that I started her up! Good oil pressure and quiet valvetrain! It didn't like idling though, I had to give it some throttle to keep it from stalling so it hasn't ran for long. There was a small coolant leak from the passenger side though. I tried to get HPTuners connected but my old version 2.22 was meant for older OS's with the Microsoft .net framework 2.0 and HPTuners doesn't have 2.23 (which you need with .net framework 4.0).
Sunday - After thinking about it, the only place I could think that the coolant is leaking is the crossover between the heads in the back so I decided to pull the intake. There wasn't much of the seal left on the passenger side so I decided to RTV around it and reinstall. Some coolant dripped into the bolt holes so I grabbed some Q-tips to soak it up. As I was pulling one out of the bolt holes, I dropped it and it went right down the coolant passage. Luckily I was able to tape up a straw to my shop vac and suck it out of the hole! Thank God that worked, I was ready to burn down the garage. Then I got the intake reinstalled. I was able to get with Dr. Phil to get the HPTuners version I need and it's installing now.
It should be ready for a start and a HPTuners recording tomorrow but I don't know if I will have time to work on it because it is my first wedding anniversary and if I want to have a second, I better stay away from the car. lol
