    • Well, I recieved the boost nipple - looks like the other one pulls out, and this one pushes in.

Guess I better get the supercharger off...it'll give me something to do...

      • It's called Plastic Weld epoxy. I have used it to seal cracks in plastic radiator tanks with NO problem. It will do exactly what you need it to. I swear by the stuff.

        • Thanks man,

I'll go buy some once this fails (which it will).

                    • You can also try using an easy out - sometimes they'll work.

                      • I ended up opening it up with a scratch-awl, and putting the new thing in upsidedown - it fit in pretty snug, then I jb-welded around it. The rubber boot for the boost gauge fits over it, so it should work out well.

What was the brand of that epoxy? I'm about to go look for it...

...and I dropped the damn ferrule from the Boost Gauge down between the gap in my deck...so I have to go find another one.

                        • It's called Plastic Weld - comes in a bubble pack with a two part tube. The tube will be black. There are a few different kinds, make sure you get the stuff JUST for plastic. I can't remember the exact brand name of the stuff. When you mix it up, it'll end up a translucent yellow color.

                            • All right...

                              Here's the new boost nipple...

I heard the old one was welded in or something, and I didn't want to drill it out, since that's a direct port to the intake, and I don't want metal shavings in there...so my dad came up with the idea to put the new nipple in upside-down - and it worked great.

                              JBwelded the bottom:

                              Plastic Welder:

Cut/dremeled out stock boost gauge mount on my 3-pillar (not sure why this was on there...):

Epoxied the fitting into the coolant reservoir:

Boost Gauge placed into the gauge pod. I like the look.

Thanks Patrick for the referral to Plastic Welder!!!

                              And B - very funny...

I was able to get another ferrule from Frentz (they have everything, I swear), and got some teflon tape for the boost gauge fitting threads.

Somehow I managed to lose one of the thumbscrews to the Boost gauge too...I'll look more for it tomorrow...I had a bad habit of dropping shit today...ugh.

Tomorrow, I'm gonna plumb up the boost gauge, and wire it up, and reinstall the supercharger, throttle body and air intake bend...
