  • Ehh, nothin too bad happened.

    That ferrule cost me $0.15.

The thumbscrew, I'm not quite sure where it went.

The voltmeter cant use them though, since it cant use the mounting bracket, so I just used one of those.

    • Yeah, that is the stuff! If you can break that, you're really trying to. It's awesome!

        • Looks good so far, Kyle! And I'm sorry - I laugh every time I see the wideband volt meter. Have you ever seen it go outside of 9 and 14?

          • It usually sits between 12 and 15.

            Wideband volt meter?

            • Yeah, whatever you want to call it - you had the poll asking if you should get the one you got or a cheaper one and you went with the "wideband" or something because it had a wider range or something another.

                  • I'll throw an update on before I head back outside.

Connected the spaghetti line to the new nipple via the rubber boot supplied:

Threw some loom on there, so it didn't look so shitty:

Supercharger, Throttle Body and Air Intake elbow (cleaned up a bit) back on:

                    Delivery Guy dropped off something...

Gauges installed into the pillar. Had to move the Voltmeter and Boost gauge all up one, cause the Innovate AFR gauge would only fit in the bottom slot.

Extended the Voltmeter harness, and wired/connected the spaghetti line to the Boost gauge. Dropped the AFR harness down, re-mounted pillar:

                      • Got some more work done.

My dad is [hopefully] going to help me wire up the Wideband tomorrow, cause I know he'll do a much cleaner wiring job than I would.

This epoxy is THE SHIT. Thanks Patrick!

Tested for leaks in the reservoir, none - installed.

The hose runs behind the washer reservoir, quite nicely, too...

Got some clamps to put on my air intake (bottom one just needed a lock-nut)

Time to top off the engine; 3/4 of the bottle of Water Wetter and about half a gallon of Dexcool 50/50. I love cold fill lines!

Freshly painted reservoir cap (was red) - Krylon Fusion works really, really well:

Since at least the boost and voltmeter gauges are hooked up, checked out the light show at night. Sexy.

I really wish the Innovate had a silver bezel, but it's not a big deal - kinda stealthy...

                          • All right, little update before my dad gets back.

With some persuasion from a member on CobaltSS.net, I decided to redo my heat exchanger plumbing between the endplate and the heat exchanger. Instead of having that Tee, I'm just going to run out of the endplate, into the reservoir, and out of the reservoir and into the heat exchanger.

How I had it plumbed before, it would be a ***** to get the air out of the system, and not to mention, in a non thinking moment, I plumbed the line for the reservior to the tee, to go down and then back UP...not sure that'd work too well...

So, with a constant flow into and out of the reservoir, it should blow all the air out...

Just have to go get a "butt connector" for the heater hose, cause my hose to the bottom of the reservoir to the heat exchanger is a couple inches too short...

Belt On - I LOVE the PulleyBoys tool:

                                Gauges:

Well...fired it up right after, first untuned (cause I forgot to load the tune), and then tuned. Runs smooth - BUT, the supercharger rattles at idle - the infamous coupler has gone. So I'm going to order a ZZP coupler which is supposed to last longer, and then I can see what type of AFRs I'm running. Not going to bring it out today, just to be safe.

Here's the video of the first startup without a tune (you can hear the rattle at idle):

Second startup, with tune (When I said 20 pounds of boost, I meant Vacuum):

So, looks like it'll be down for a few more days.
