Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Where does that reinforcement go? Behind the bumper?
Partially. The top of the bumper hooks the the front of this. Which bolts to the core support by the washer reservoir.

Got the front suspension torn apart. Need new upper mounts. -_- of course nobody stocks them. I?ll have new ones in the morning. Hopefully get it all buttoned up. Swapped out the old shocks under warranty.
Still shooting for paint next weekend

What kind of shocks are those? If you're running lowering springs, you'll need something better than stock to properly handle the spring rates.
Gabriel ultras. I have heard of people using them on lowering springs with good luck. The amount it?ll be driven I think it should be okay. If not, lifetime warranty FTW. I won?t be dropping $400+ on shocks right now.

They might be something that is capable of handling a lowering spring - like a Bilstein B8 or something similar.
Lifetime warranty...worth it then!

Truth.
I really need to watch my pennies that get dumped into this car. Not that we ever get the money we put into it but I need to be realistic.

Agree with Joel, those grilles look great, especially on SOM cars, but they are much in demand right now, and you'd be hard-pressed to touch one for under $400.
I remember thinking I was getting bent over and raped when I bought the grille brand new for The Red Beast for $250! Wish I could buy them all day for that price again!
Couple reasons I didn?t go with the slp grill is 1) price, no thanks lol.
2) EVERYONE has them. While it?s definitely much sleeker than the oem one and billets are hideous, the price and lack of availability made my decision pretty easy.
I also wanted something different. Something that sets it different parked next to other Camaros.
Also I had though about painting the center black, it just didn?t look right on some of the cars I saw. Like this one. They took the black about an inch too far out imo.
This tho
I got the suspension done in the front. Thing looks like a 4x4. It?s either my eyes playing tricks on the flash being goofy with the dirty wheel wells and clean tires, or it?s not settled (haven?t driven it yet). Orrrrr I was just so used to it tucking tire lol.
So I thought I had the color pretty close. I decided to take my spray-out Home and double check it since I?ll be spraying the car this weekend.... back to the drawing board. I originally leftout half of the maroon in the ?standard? formal since the standard was too red. It looked great in the original sunlight I looked at it but today not so much. I?m not looking for it to be spot on 16 year old paint, but I don?t want it parked next to another SOM and notice a difference. Not that but maybe once a year I?ll ever get a chance to park next to another som but you never know lol. It?s the picky painter in me. I think I?ll take out 25% maroon and see what that looks like. I have 4 days to figure it out lol.

It looks a bit better in the daylight (still need to do the rear springs and shocks).
