Update, the motor is back in the car, getting the fuel system all buttoned up. time to start building my hot side, Whoo hoo! I can't wait to get this thing rolling and running. I am really hoping to have it running before power tour. that would be great. I am looking to get on it hardcore this week.
What is the heater hose mod? removing the isolators and putting heater hose on the springs directly?

The motor is back in! just an update, I had to go with the CTS-V alternator, and I had to make my own power steering relocation bracket. The one I ordered is for the f-body accessories and is way to thick for my corvette/cts-v accessories. Now I am waiting on the idler pulley, then I can get a belt on there. I should have all of the tubing by the end of the week so I can get moving on the hot side of the turbo. I have my front brakes on just waiting for the braided front lines.

Thanks man. Never enough is a dealer for us, and I had ordered some parts through those guys. Ron has been one of my buddies since high school, and he has always been good people. I think its great that people are actually having local car shows on a weekly basis. I am hoping that my car will get to some of these this summer. It was cool meeting you guys to. I will probably be there this next friday if the weather is a little nicer. Well, I am off to the shop now to get to work putting a hot side that will fit in my engine compartment. I will put some pic.s up today.

I don't work for a shop, but I have a shop were I work. The company is called REV-X Products. My brother and I own it. We developed and manufacture high performance oil and fuel additives. It may sound like BS, but we have the best oil additive package on the market. It really is some impressive stuff. You can check it out on our website www.revxoil.com. We have been selling to the diesel industry for the most part, but we are looking at the performance gas industries for the future. Enough about all that though
I actually made some progress on the hot side tonight. I have worked with tubing before but nothing like this before. Not as day as it looks. lol! I have my merge pipe formed and cut, now I have to fine tune it to get it too fit together perfectly. Which will be a major pita! After I get this all setup then its on to the intercooler piping. this is all going to be quite the challenge, but doable. I wish I would have just had a set of custom headers made. But, I've got what i've got and I will just have to work with it. So, I want to get the plumbing done, then I can get to working on the wiring, and finish the brakes.
As far as the brakes go I need to get anew line for the right front wheel, and I will be replacing the rubber lines with braided lines from KORE3.

Well I got back to work on the car tonight. I have never done much tig welding before but it is looking promising. I got the main part of my merge pipe welded up tonight. I took a couple of hours to practice before I decided to try for weld up the merge but it is welded up. After some more practice I might just make another one that will be a little prettier. But at this point I am looking more for function than show quality. I will post a picture of it tomorrow not the prettiest welds but not th worst I have ever seen.

Not much lately guys. I have been working a lot lately. And I have to say that the busa has been calling my name the past couple weeks. But this week does look like its not going to be to nice for the weekend, so I will be working on the car this weekend. I think I might be close to getting the hot side done, but I have some fitting to do before I go any further. I am going to have to make some kind of bracket to hold the turbo in place while I fit the tubing up. I might have to head over to the HD to find something temporary. But I think it should work out in the end.
I think I might have screwed the pooch on sizing for the tubing from the headers. They have 3" V-band collectors and I am using 3" stainless tubing for the plumbing to the t4 flange, which has a 2.5" inlet. I got a 3" to 2.5" reducer that is smooth from vibrant "the most expensive piece of tubing so far, 3" long for like $46" that I can join the 3" to the flange with.
I was on the turbo forums and everyone likes to reuse the tubing size at the collector. I can understand stand this on a big block that won't turn a lot of rpm's. But I think it might be to much of a choke point to taper down at the headers. Anyway, I am going to run the 3" to see how it works. If it doesn't work good there is always next winter.
