I know, I know. I will make a video the next time I am back up at the shop. Which actually might be tonight. I need to check out the cold side for boost leaks the next time I'm at the shop also. I want to make sure it's good and sealed. Oh, yeah I got my new valve covers installed this weekend too. They look sweet!

Congrats! I need to get over there asap. I want a ride lol
And yes a video is a must

Well, I have good news. IT'S ALIVE AND RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After all the work I have done on this car with making my own harness and fuel system and all of the turbo system from scratch. I thought it would give me a bunch of grief on start up, but it didn't. This saturday I had a friend of mine come over and he gave the wiring a good once over, then we checked for spark, cranked it over for a little bit to get some oil through the motor. Then we hooked up the fuel pumps to check for any leaks, and we found a couple of loose fittings that needed to be snugged up. Check, check, and check. I couldn't believe it I hit the key and it just fired up. Just like that! It sounded a little funny so we checked the wiring to the coils, and sure enough like 5 of them were plugged in to the wrong coil. (I had to relocate the coils to the firewall, and in the process the wiring got turned around). So after we got the coil wires switched around it fires up sweet as can be. I thought the LS9 cam would be a little more aggressive than it is but that's just perfect. HAHA, my car sounds like a 305 with bad exhaust. I think I might just surprise a bunch of unknowing furd owners.
But at this moment I am happy as a pig in shit! Now I have to get busy on the rest of the car. Since it seems like I have missed all of the meet and greets, and shows for the year. I would like to drive it to Woodward and the dream cruise on 28th this year. Maybe get to hang out with some of you guys this year and actually get out of the shop for once.

The funny thing is, I was looking for a fox body and couldn't find one that wasn't a piece of crap. Then I thought about a iroc, and I found my car for $800 no motor no trans. Then come to find out its actually a very rare car. So I am way happy with how it has worked out. And I think it will be *****in when its running and all together.

Fox body cars have no style..you made the right choice even if it costs more in the end.Originally posted by Speedfreak391 View PostWell, I haven't had a chance to post up lately with my work schedule, but a couple things have changed in the stable. My truck s now a supercharged SS, and the 99 Z is down the road. Traded it for a GTP Grand prix and some cash. I have a friend that is going to help me get the wiring squared away in the next couple of weeks. So the beast should be running soon. Then off to the tuner, eh! I can't wait. This weekend I saw one of my buddies get his fox body mustang with a 6.0 and a procession 76mm run for the first time. he is going to the tuner this week. I wish I would have started with a stang since you can buy everything cheap for them, he has a third of the cost into his car, and a quarter of the time I have into my car. But, I like my third gen more.

The column had some play in it. So I wanted to tighten it up a bit. Well that whole program backfired on me. Those column's kicked my butt for 2 full weekends It's fixed now, I bought a good one and swapped everything over. Good to go. I will be changing out the exhaust tomorrow. Quieter I hope. Nothing has gone right for me in the car dept. lately. I need to get back on the turbo car, if the exhaust goes as planned tomorrow I will get back to work on the iroc.

I think the blinker switch was broke or something to do with it?? he had another column with something else wrong and was trying to swap the blinker switch.
I was there for a bit checking out the turbo project and he was working on the columns

I would love to see some updates to my Iroc too. But I have been working on the truck and the 99 Z. The steering column kicked my ass this weekend. I had that thing in and out I bet 6 times and its still not done yet. Column is still out on the bench. Efin steering column.
