It looks fine but I'll have to double check again.
Don't seem tilted though but his car is quite rusty so anything could be wrong?

well i mean do you have the engine unmounted at all? When installing headers I always disconnect one mount at a time and tip the engine side to side to give me room. Just wondering what you did and if its back on the mounts or what.

was the car ever in an accident? something seems seriously wrong, i cant imagine it being off so far to touch the frame rail

Ya, that pic I posted is sitting on a jack yet, can't even get the bolt in because it's hitting the k-member and the side of the engine bay.
There is no way you would get any LT's in these cars with out taking one side loose.
They fit like a ***** too!!!

This set of headers seems to be a little funky to me and I don't know what it is

so its off 1 mount or both? and youre saying it wont drop into place because it needs more clearance to do that, correct? just making sure im understanding right.

im trying to get ahold of derek.

Ya, it needs about 1/2 of and inch to clear the tube but I'm hitting the side of the engine bay so it won't matter what I clearance, it still won't fit.

Yes one side (drivers) is attached while the side I'm working on (passenger) is not even hooked up because I'm hitting.

yikes ive never heard of anything like that before.

Either that car got hit at some point, or you got a really bad set of headers. I really dont see motor mounts making that much of a difference.

Is it possible they got bent in shipping? Even that is unlikely. I hung my full 170lb weight from one of dereks collectors and the thing barely even budged, solid peices.

I feel bad, I have recommended these headers to everyone!

I'm worried B might have issues too but he seems to think it's all good, time will tell???

I'm uploading 4MB pictures right now - super high res for ya.

We just did a test fit on the passenger side (can't do both sides because our dolly is too wide for the headers) and the passenger side fits perfectly fine. I've actually got over an inch of clearance on the passenger side of the k-frame.

I measured a few places and from what I can tell the motor is sitting flat so I don't know what do to next?

did you try dropping the motor back into place and reconnecting the mount BEFORE bolting it to the cylinder head?

Try new motor mounts. Probably could use new ones anyway.

I hope to purchase these headers when the new batch comes out. The only thing I can't get over is how he only tested these on one car. I understand he wants to keep cost down, but if every header fitted like Mikes then he would have been out alot of money.

I can't, it hits the k-member and the bolt gets tight and leaves a gap between the header & the head.

That pipe that is hitting the side has room to be pushed in about 3/8 then all I would have to to is trim the k-member a little more but I don't know if that is going to be safe either.

Eric, The one thing I don't like about these are that they are choked down at the collector then open back up to a 3" and then choked back down at the end of the y to 2.75 again.
So they aren't a true 3" system like you get with Hooker and yes I'm going to have to have the end of the y chopped off to accommodate the 3" system.
