Just to let you know we moved the motor up and also put on the drivers side headers and they fit with no problem. I wonder if those are really made for a camaro, I cann't believe they would be that far off. And I know you know what you are doing.

Holy crap man...if you want to keep them that bad, send them back and have him give u a different set. Seems like way too much work for some header's, and I wouldn't be cuttin anything from my car just to fit them in. But that's me. Good Luck!

        Thanks Larry!
I'm about at my wits end with this and I don't want Mike to throw his hard earned money away.
I think the only thing left to do is motor mounts?

Ya, I'm with ya but they are in the middle of redoing the design because of things like this, go figure.

I installed them on a trans am so i dont think so.

I would send the headers back before doing motor mounts. Even if it did allow the header to fit, im guessing it would still barely fit, and then as soon as the mounts settled in it would make contact again.

            True!

I think a set of Pace Setters would be good.

A thing I did find interesting is Mike's car don't have an oil cooler on it.

What does the oil cooler even look like? I didn't see anything like that on my LT1 from the get go.

Most LT1s have the oil cooler from what I have seen. I remember derek's 97 TA didnt have one when i helped him with his LPPs, and his car is pretty well loaded less WS6. im not sure what the optioning pattern is for those cars that dont. If the car had a factory oil cooler it would have had RPO code KC4 (at least in 95, not sure about other years).

I ditched mine, its not even a real cooler anyway and could potentially hinder your oil pressure.

                          found it:

If your car came w/ stock 2.73s (GU-2), it did not come equipped with one.
                          odd...

that is just someone on a forum though so not sure of the credibility.

That's weird - after seeing that diagram I'm 100% positive the LT1 never had one.

I have one on my 93.

They aren't that hard to take off.
One thin nut and they fall right off but the pipes that supply the coolant, those are a bugger
