hook it up to a smoke machine. I think that is what my brother did on his car at our shop to check where he was having leaks.

Found the line that is unhooked, remnants of the A.I.R. system.. Unfortunately I can't find the hose that should plug into it.. Looks like the intake is coming off..

Vacuum leak was exactly what i was going to say, if there is too much air getting in, it will cause problems throughout, due to the fact that a lot of things depend on a vacuum parameter in order to function harmoniously.

larry, why would this cause an issue now? youve had your A.I.R removed for a while.. meaning youve had that small vaccum leak on the back of the intake for a while right? When I was looking at that howto to remove it it said some years have that vac line on the back some dont... I dont think mine had it? if it did I never noticed it when removing my air system lol.

If the car has been running with a leak the Pcm will have to relearn the IAC idle position. You may have to help the car start and idle

The hose that was unhooked came unhooked pulling the MAP.. My buddy told me he hooked it back up, back after pulling the MAP again I found it was disconnected. Hooked up a scanner, low voltage MAP p0107. Cleared the code(does not throw an SES). Car fired right up, revs fine, returns to idle fine.. I don't know scanners at all, first time using one. I was getting .11/.44V and .14/.44V 02 data and MAF was 8.95 at idle. MAP was reading 2.95 at idle(guessing voltage?) and when revved would change to 3.54. But if voltage shouldn't it of dropped to zero on rev? I know it is running rich as hell, stupid me was running it with the garage door closed.. Hopefully have some better info 2morrow, someone who knows how to use a scan tool is coming over.. I couldn't figure out how to read AFR.. Oh, fuel banks 1 and 2 said "Closed"

Oh after it ran about 5 minutes it still showed no codes, so I checked pending codes, and you guessed it, P0107 was pending..

Ok, little better info, Barometric pressure is 3.15 HGs(WTH are HG's) MAP reads 3.25 HGs and MAP voltage is .03(this info was just with the ignition on), car won't start again..lol Even after clearing the low MAP voltage code.. Also, don't know what it should read, but IAC count was 200 with just the key on..

K, little more info, got the car to start again, IAC count was 23-30 at idle, Baro pressure was 17.65 HGs, Map showed 3.25 HGs, MAP voltage was constant at .03 volts, whether at idle or 3 grand..

Sounds like a bad grd or broken wire going to map. I know the grd is supplied through the ECU on the LT1's I imagine its the same on LS1's.
try running seperate wire from ECU to Map. Just a jumper wire to test it, I have seen a lot of wires brake and the insulation holds them together and thats what causes intermitant problems.

I am going to check grounds today.. Mainly because I just remembered they messed with a bunch of grounds when they had my car..

Done for the year... Had All Speed come over with their scanner, showed the same MAP readings as the scanner I was using, AFR was 14.6, constant, never changed regardless of RPMs, 02's are not working either.
