Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
IAC was reading 155 at idle, when it would idle. MAP sensor is reading 3-4 lbs vacuum(or whatever it reads). Car thinks it is at full throttle at idle and is dumping fuel into the intake.. The IAC came down to 30 at idle, when it would idle, Map readings were all over the place.. MAP sensor gone bad?

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

He never said his tps reading were bad. I would start with a map sensor, after you check the connections. If thats not it then you probaly got more expensive problems.
Yeah, I am going to have it flatbedded home and change out the MAP sensor(eventually).. When I left the shop it wouldn't even start anymore.. turn it over and just a quick sputter. Probably done for the year.. Just don't have the time to work on it anytime soon..
car probly wont start due to plugs being fould out, change plugs and check tps, i know it dont show but if it sticks it will throw massive fuel in the car witch floods the system.... also to save a headach you may already know but change oil, to much fuel will start to dump in the oil and we dont need that.
If you don't want to flatbed it larry then hold the gas down all the way when you go to start it, this put the engine in a "clear flood" mode and it won't fire the injectors and it should allow the car to start. Then try replacing the MAP sensor in the parking lot, I have done it before and see if it helps.
Map sensor is going to read all over because its running like shit. It sounds ignition related to me.. Like Larry said.. pull a plug see what you got. Dont go replacing sensors if your unsure if its bad
