Thanks guys, Id be lying if I said "no problem, got it , thanks" guess I'll be learning as I go. I plan to use the engine and dash harnesses from the donor car. So will I be able to do the install of the engine and trans and then worry about the electrical later? I hope so. From reading I have been doing, it would seam the c100 harness is short wires, and need to have them added? I am confused by that. I have been told the engine bay harness can be made to work plug and play. But then again I want to retain my air, cruise, etc. Maybe that is where I am making things hard. I dunno.
I do want to use the new system that replaced the vats. (cant recall its name right now) I plan to start this weekend. I will be dropping the k and drive train out of the donor and cleaning the motor, trans, and engine bay before insertion.

I dont have the time to figure all this out. So Im farming this harness out. I spent all day doing research and removing the dash from the 98. Holy Moses theres a shit ton of wires in there! I have enough to do with the mechanical conversion part. Im going to use Gasmans harness guy for mine.

Ok, donor motor is out. Harness is off. Looks like I need a pan, and intake gasket / o ring, whatever.
Can I power wash this beast with the coils on it? Alternator is covered i n slime ,pan is gross too. I hate filthy motors.
          Any advice is appreciated.

2nd thought. Im going toodo the oil pressure sending unit, and run it. Itll be easier to find the leak that way. If I have to Ill drop it this winter and either rebuild it, replace it, or throw gaskets on it.
So now I am going to delete the airpump, egr, headers are on order.
Should I keep the evap? Im torn.

If you're already deleting emissions, might as well delete EVAP as well..

Unfortunately I have no input on power washing - not sure if the coils can handle it or not.

Its ok, I removed them for bathing I needed to get that done and over with. I couldnt look at it anymore all dirty like that. Was making me uncomfortable. Also found the pcv, 2 into one, rubber fitting in the back of the engine was split in half.
So another vote for deleting the evap. Sounds like I dont need the evap then. I'll have to look into what needs to be done to delete it. Ill add it to my list of things to tune out, and remove from the harness.

Then I need to find someone who can tune all this junk out of my pcm. Anyone know anyone?

Is it going to be a stock LS1 minus emissions, or cammed and modded? If it's just a mild build, I'd reach out to BLKHAWK and he could tune the emissions out of the PCM for a good price.

Yep just stock . Not even doing a cam till I rebuild it. Just need the emisions tuned out, lock up raised.
Ill give him a shout when I get closer, thanks B

So looks like I may need a contingency plan for the harness. Drove to the guys house, no one answered the door, text or phone call. Anyone know a harness guy?

Speartech redid my harness for me. Pricy, but a perfect job.

Not much done today. Removed trans from the engine, stubborn bugger didnt want to come off the pins. I will put the motor on the stand tomorrow, so I can swap out the brake lines, clean the crossmember. Then its on to the donor tank and lines.
