I don't get why everyone wants to delete EVAP. It doesn't increase performance and it isn't a big eyesore on LS1 cars, just a single line and a small solenoid.

Pretty much this. I can always tune it out and remove it later, its not a big deal. Its not a big hardware issue like airpump or egr valve, which effects the headers.

on the LT1 it junks up the engine, I wanted to get rid of as much of the "bloatware" as possible lol

What do I do on the tank end if I delete it?

Personally I just cut the EVAP line back at the driver's side wheel well between the wheel liner and the shock tower. Cover the opening with cheese cloth or something so bugs can't crawl in and call it good.

Deleting the EVAP isn't worth the smell and hassle.

It's one of those things that just works - it vents the tank properly and keeps the smell at bay.

Ok, so the fuel lines, and tank are out of the donor. Tomorrow I will complete the rear end removal and try to push the donor outside. I need to come up with some kind of dolly to roll it on.
But thats progress....

picked up. '98 is outside. I need to move things around so I can get the 94 back into the garage. I cant get the gas out of the tank, wont siphon. probably has 1/2 tank in there.
So I have to drop the rear end and the exhaust, then the old tank. run the fuel lines...... So much to do....

Just run the pump. I put some fuel hose on the end of the line (in the engine bay) and pumped it into a couple 5 gallon fuel cans.

ok, I was able to siphon enough out, it wasnt an issue after all.

On to todays progress halting problem.....


I was able to get my car in the garage today and dropped the tank and lines. I installed the tank from the donor, however the plugs arnt even close. the donor tank has 7 wires on one plug and two on a different plug. the original only has 3 wires. Where did I goof on this? Something isnt jiving here. I cant put the pump in the old tank the lines arent right. Wtf are all the wires for on this 98 tank?
