  • I plan on heading out there tonight and maybe Thursday if the weather is good.

    • Cool. We'll either be at Ducati, or across the street at the CVS, if Ducati is full of Charger bros parking poorly and revving their engines immediately before shutting them off and wearing shirts they don't fit in, or if they started setting up for their own parking, as they usually do.

Friday/Saturday we'll park up at Kingswood Plaza, up at Square Lake & Woodward.

      • I don't fit in any of my shirts.

I had hoped to be there tonight, but the van would not start this morning. Starter. Call in to work. Hope to wrap it up here after lunch, then help my son get a few things done on his truck later this afternoon. Then dinner for all of us together one last time before he heads back to college.

        • Yeah, these were a couple-size-too-small wifebeaters. They don't fit large beer guts on younger people well.

Back to college already? I guess I'm used to going back in October when I was at Kettering.

Nah, they probably could have parked in between the lines.

              • Had a good day getting things done. Sons truck is ready for the road, van has it's new starter (after searching two places for a proper E5 socket, and two parts stores for a proper starter...Thank You Steve's Oxford Automotive) and a fresh oil change. Cleaned up, and took the T/A out to Nicky D's diner on Woodward for dinner. Made one lap from the north loop in Pontiac to Ferndale and back. LOTS of cars out.

                • Yeah - it was packed going Southbound right in front of Ducati.

And I still call it Athens, but it just doesn't feel them same.

                  • I passed by Ducati a couple of times. The first time I was caught 3 lanes over and couldn't get over, and the second time it looked like it was overrun with Ruckuses

TONS of cars out last night, though! I went all the way up to Pontiac and back down to Ferndale, eventually parked in front of the car dealer near the baseball diamonds (where GM Performance always sets up shop) and sat on the roof and watched the cars go by.

                    • They were all Yamaha scooters, but yes it was. They kinda seemed real douchey too. They almost got themselves all run over when they were about to go onto woodward when the light turns red (you know, when the light turns green for Adams traffic, which would have just plowed right through them ).

                        • Kyle, were you there at Ducati with the Cobalt? I thought I saw your car there, but wasn't sure I spotted you among all the rustangs in the lot. A buddy dropped by my house unexpectedly so we went out in his massive black 1972 Continental Mark IV -- what a boat!

speaking of scooters, most comical sight of the night was at a light, there was a scooter lined up next to what looked like a Ducati Scrambler in front. When it turned green, the dude in the scooter got on it and popped a wheelie trying to peel out while the Ducati just casually drove off

Yup! Craig and my brother had their Mustangs there in the first two spots. I'll have the Cobalt again tonight because it's pretty hot out - and I know my wife will appreciate having A/C instead of sweating to death (plus, I already did that today in the Volt ).

That would have been a sight!
