  • 2018 Woodward Discussion

So I was thinking that due to slower attendance on woodward we should plan one or two "OG meets" at Ducati way in advance this summer.

    Damn!

I do like that idea. Or everyone could just come out every weekend like it used to be.

But we know that ain't happening...

Why don't we pick once a month? Like 3rd Friday of the month?

I like that - because it aligns with the Friday before the Dream Cruise - a perfect night for big attendance.

Thats not a bad idea either. Just hope it doesnt discourage attendance any other friday.

Also a good point - I'll try and be better about making the threads this year. Last year I didn't really have either car ready until about July, so I only was out a few times. Hopefully won't be the case this year.

OK, made this a new topic, let the Woodward discussion continue!

It is worth mentioning, it did not seem like the bikes were as much of an issue (if even at all) as they were the previous year.

If it becomes one, we'll simply park cars up on the black top

Even though I'm just a couple blocks off Woodward and only 6 miles from Ducati, I'm afraid I didn't put much effort into making it up there last year because the place seemed to have only bikes or Detroit 5th Gen. Although I seem to remember driving by one night and seeing Craig sitting out there by himself with his (mustang). I'm definitely motivated to show up now, now that I have a REAL car with the proper number of cylinders and proper number of gears!

I wouldn't worry much about bikes - they did not seem to be nearly the issue they were in 2016. At least on Friday nights. Detroit 5th Gen mainly comes out on Saturdays.

I'm not sure we did, or if we did, I don't quite remember it.

Yeah - Fridays are likely the best. The question becomes: which Fridays are the best?

First Friday of the month is probably the easiest to remember, and not on top or near (weekend-wise) some other event.
