I'll shoot Robert a PM tomorrow, and maybe we can work something out for this week. I'm working out there on Saturday evening as well, so I would be free up until about 6pm. I'll shoot you a pm and between the three of us, we should be able to work something out.
If Robert isn't available, I'll be in Jackson on Saturday from about noon on. Or even if he is, I can join up to add my 2cents.

I'm going to look around a bit after work today, maybe I can find some cool places to stop.

Did some checking. I know where the Kaiser building WAS now, not sure how much of it is left or how recognizable it is. As a side note, my granfather apparently worked there assembling cars. Woot!
And the train depot is still there as well. I had the wrong building apparently. Along with the original brick road that leads up to it.

I'll be working on Saturday and won't get home until the usual 4:30

Nah, the building across the street from Family Video was TRW. The Kaiser building was down by the train yards, near the foundry.

Unknown for the planning trip, the actual event we are planning is to take place on the 30th of September.

It's not a true color tour if you don't do it up North! Let me know if you make it up to anything north of Grayling.

Nick, thanks for the warm welcome! I don't know how many MiFody members there are the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. I'm not sure if you guys are aware of the old 27 tour. There are plenty of stops along the way for gatherings and places to stay. It all would depend on how long and how far people are willing to go. Obviously to come this far for 1 person might be a little ridiculous. I have attached a link to the old 27 tour. Let me know your thoughts!

Chiming in! Been extremely busy, but the jackson area doesn't sound too bad. Still the 30th or is the 29th out of the question? I know the pinckney area has a lot of "wagon trails" and should provide some amount of color with the tree lined roads.

Date is set for the 30th. I know some people won't be able to make it, but we thought a Sunday would probably work for most people.

Nick did you decide on the route yet? We should include a cruise M50 and stop in Hell for lunch. GM and the big three send their Beta cars throettugh the roads surrounding Hell / Chelsea because of the quality of the roads (very curvy and pretty views) Lo0ts of lakes, hills, and trees as well as many State parks in the area for nice photo opps. BTW I havelt contact info for the Ice Cream Parlor / Novelty Shop / Diner where they just hosted the national hurse convention last weekend....
