I agree, one-day trip . . . I would personally enjoy an overnighter but I think many people would have trouble with work schedules, babysitting kids, etc. Maybe next year we do the two-day trip.

That sould make for an awesome photoshoot!!Originally posted by ktl711 View PostI like it! Maybe a lighthouse photo op would be more reliable than trying to find fall colors, too!

Date is September 30th. Get the day off, we'd love to see you there!Originally posted by OneMeanFormula View PostDefinitely interested in this, I've planned a couple of these up more north towards Traverse City and haven't become quite familiar with the area down here yet. I think we would definitely get better attendance from a 1 day trip though, not an overnighter. Hopefully once the date is set I can get it off work.Nick H.

I like the route Ben posted, maybe we could base our route along using his as a starting point. I'm going to get the 2nd of September off to run through the route, if you are free, we'll hook up somewhere and run the route through to choose stop points and get an idea for our schedule for the day. This way we will be familiar with the route, and one of us can lead the pack, one can bring up the rear, and keep people together.Originally posted by MikeM View PostI'd be glad to ride along with you Nick to help plan the route.Nick H.

2nd of September is a Sunday; we have a Labor Day party at a friend's house that day. Monday (Labor Day) is also no good, b-cuz my wife has to work. I could do Saturday the 1st, though.Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostI'm going to get the 2nd of September off to run through the route, if you are free, we'll hook up somewhere and run the route through to choose stop points and get an idea for our schedule for the day.sigpic

I can also ride along on any day, if you want. That way we can co-ordinate some of the other issues with food, locations, etc.Originally posted by MikeM View Post2nd of September is a Sunday; we have a Labor Day party at a friend's house that day. I already put in for the 2nd off work, I figured we should do it on the same day of the week to mimic traffic patterns the day of the event. Sorry you can't make it, hopefully you can make it on the 30th.Originally posted by MikeM View Post2nd of September is a Sunday; we have a Labor Day party at a friend's house that day. I'll give you a call to figure out where and when you want to meet up. I'll be driving the bird, so as long as that doesn't pose a problem, we should be fine. Bloody Mary, aspirin, dark shades, and you can ride with one of usOriginally posted by ktl711 View PostSeptember 30 happens to be the day after my niece's wedding, so all bets are off as to whether I will be in any condition to color tour -- I sure hope I won't be taking the technicolor tour while driving the porcelain Buick...
