  • Catback system

I have a 2002 Camaro SS. I'm Looking for a GMMG or SLP Loudmouth 2 catback in great condition. I know, big difference in exhaust, but I like the sound of these two systems best on a stock LS1. Either would work! Thanks.

I checked into this today...it's for a 2010 or newer Camaro. Thanks for the lead though.

You're not far from Durand. Take your car into Dave's Muffler and have them put on a MagnaFlow. They do all of my exhaust work and do an excellant job.

Yeah, Dave's does all of my exhaust work. Just want something louder than a Magnaflow, being a stock car. I was going to stop in and talk to them about maybe doing a custom set up with a bullet, similar to the loudmouth. Need to weigh my options, will it be cheaper for them to fab up something with stainless, can they make a good merge, etc, or should I just get a cat back? Decisions, decisions...

They can do what ever you want. Just be warned, my LS1 sounded like crap with a Flowmaster on it. I switched out that for the Magnaflow and it sounds nice. It does get loud when you step into it, and there is ZERO snapping or cracking that the Flowmaster caused.
I use aluminized pipe and have no problems with it. The system on my truck is 12 years old with no issues. Nobody can see it under there anyway so I have no reason to spend a lot of money for something that isn't needed...

I hear ya. That's what I have on it now, Flowmaster. Dave's installed it back when the car was new...never did like it. Now, it's coming apart inside and rattling. So, it's finally time for something new.

I agree with the flow master statement. It isnt my favorite sound. I have a friend with a dynomax on his 2010 ss, it sounds sick, but i'm not sure how their y-pipe setup sounds. They are cheap though.
