  • Same. The biggest difference between a truck and f-body throttle body is the armature linkage.

      • Well, I know its been awhil but, today I removed tha drivers side floor pan. Let me just say, that sucked. I was able to test fit the pan and found I needed to widen the toe board 3/4 of an inch at /the top,to 1/4 of an inchin the radius and blend it back towards the footwell. Before I install the pan I have to fabricate the patch for.the front of the inner rocker panel and install it. I also decided to go with a 3/8ths inch lap joint along the tunel and front of the seat well.
I wm going to do the drivers pan first and then do the passengers side. Then I am going to Por 15 the pans inside and out.
I also found the leaks from the cowl. There are a series of cracks located at the spot weld s for the cowl. Looks like it cracked from flexing and the sealerdidnt do squat to seal it. So I get to repair that to.

        • Not the most fun work...but it's good that you found the source of the leaks.

                  • Well truth be told it might be. I don't want to admit it but I think this car has beaten me. I have an offer on another roller. I just don't have the kind of time this car needs to finish it. I am not enjoying this build. So once again, I think I am done.
I will disclose the new project at a later date.
For now I am going to hold on to this car until I find out what the deal is on the other car. Should know something in a week or so. But as soon as I know whats what, this thing is going. So if anyone has any interest in it or any of the parts let me know.

                        • It's kinda sad really, it sat in storage for years, and years. A couple of months at my house and its dead. live and learn even at my age I guess.

The funny part is the wrecker driver remembered picking up what was left of the 98 Camaro after the swap. See you next year Rick!

So lets close this chapter and move on shall we?
