I'm talking the air intake, not the manifold.

      • Yea I know the air lid will be my next restriction, I contacted a guy on TGO who made a number of high flow lids but he wants $400 to modify my lid...... I think I can figure something out on my own before I am shelling out that kind of coin on a new lid.

I remember reading a how-to on TGO for modding your stock lid to flow better

          • cut a small notch in your core support, use chevy truck radiator holders to slightly move the radiator forward and run piping down to the underside of the car by the grille. juyst an idea. makes sense in my mind.

              Doesn't make sense to me

It has been so long since I've had the lid on mine that I don't remember how much clearance there is. My friend ran his air over to where to EVAP canister was, opened up the inner fender well, and ran his filter on the underside. I'll have to look for pictures. It worked quite well for him on his 400+ cube HSR engine (until he blew it up)

              • I was planing to keep the Evap canister in the stock location. If I can get a spare lid I will mod it like the guys on TGO. I got time so I am sure I can make it work. I requested lay off this year so I have 3 months to finish this project and have it fully tuned by the time nice weather gets here.

                        • Ok back on track and with an update. Front end suspension is back under the car, just need to finish rebuilding the steering box and that can be finished. Now all the new brake lines need to be installed master cylinder going in today.

Was able to finish the wiring yesterday and drop in the battery. I powered everything up and hooked up the laptop as far as the EBL Flash can tell me all the sensors are working and talking to the new ECM,

I did get my new 3 core radiator for Christmas.
