Still got to finish clearancing the block for the bigger crank and and a lot of smoothing on the outside. I hope to have the rotating ass. ordered in 2 weeks. My buddy is helping build the motor and I know some hate the 400 block but he has built many and knows his stuff.

The 400 is a good engine. Is it a 400 small block or a big block?

Well I don't really got one to tell u the truth. I want a fast 6 speed car and I am sure this setup will do the trick. I already got the T56 installed (I rebuilt it this past summer) and a ford 9 inch is waiting to be modified and placed in the rear. its a limited slip with a 3.50 gear. I am tuning it my self. Was planning to try MAF first if thats not working I will repin to speed density.

Also got these so it can breath.

I had a 400 back in the day...torque monster for sure. That FIRST system will make for a unique engine...very cool.

The 1.750 runners on this intake are impressive. Not that I am going to port mine but look what they can be opened up to. Stock TPI intake runner is 1.400

                    Nice!

I had SLP siamesed runners on top of a super ram base, everything was ported to the max and with a 58mm TB I still could not feed the beast...lol.

Damn, in an earlier post you had pictures and mentioned a rotating ass. Thought that there were going to be pictures of strippers on a pole or something. LOL

I'm going to have a custom crank so when I put in the order I will have them put the 1 piece seal bolt pattern on the 2 piece seal crank. That should save me some money so I don't have to buy a different fly wheel for the two piece crank bolt pattern to bolt to the T56.

Looks good! Are you cleaning up the block with the cam in it? I wouldnt want all those shavings all over my new cam.

Is the externally balanced flywheel Gunna be the same balance for the 414 aswell as the externally balanced 350?

No grinding with the new billet cam installed. Its way to pretty to get dirty. That was a cam we used for mock up to order h Mike Jones cam, ended up going small base circle. Not sure what balancer will be install when I order the rotating assembly I am going to have it balanced.
