Starter, Alternator, fuel filter, one fuel injector, rotor, coil, dist. cap, plugs, wires, brakes lines and hoses (whatever), shocks/struts, air filter, belt (2 years ago), coolant flush-ish (i leaked it all out, that counts right?), trans flush 3 years ago, rear diff fluid 2 years ago, I gotta change my oil this weekend.Originally posted by b.a.camaro View Postbad gas would do that also, but it don't sound like just bad gas, give me a list of everything you have replaced, but it is steering towards clogged cats.
I think that's everything. You know, I noticed it only does it when I'm getting low on fuel! Crazy - there's gotta be water in my tank.

yeah it sounds like water in the tank, i bought some bad gas awhile ago and mine did the same even though im' running a built 355. Bad gas will cause that, i want you to run the rest of the gas you have in it completely out put some new stuff in and let me know what happens. But i still think your cats are clogged.

You neglected to say it only does it when low on fuel previously. It is possible the nylon strainer sock on the end of the fuel pickup is collapsing and getting sucked shut, thus starving the car of fuel. It it runs fine with half a tank or more, I'd say this is the issue, even though with over 100K miles I'd bet the cats aren't in the best shape anymore either.

Ok, I will. I'll get some of that fuel dry stuff this weekend and we'll see what happens. So far on this tank it only did that sputtery thing once right after I filled up. I have a little less than half tank left now. I'll keep ya'll posted!Originally posted by b.a.camaro View PostI didn't think about that one good call, and to replace the pump she needs to drop the rearend out because the gas tank sits over it and the pump with strainer is about $75.00. get back at me on this Robin i hate to see you go through hell.

Let's just throw some fuel dry stuff in there and see if that does the trick, then maybe the cats....then we'll go from there.
