The LT4 timing kit comes with the gear, but where can I buy just the shaft and bearing?

I have a shop press so pressing it isn't the problem.

      • I'm having trouble getting the oil pump drive installed.

The stock one pops right in. The new gear on the stock one works.

The billet piece will not fit into the hole..

          • Timing set came today, got that installed.
Now I'm waiting on my water pump seal installer so I can install that.

            • Glad to hear it's going well for the most part. I didn't have any problems with mine slipping in, but then again by the time I installed the billet piece my stock gear was getting all tore up from the cam.

              • So heres something weird.

                Look at this link
                http://www.lt1engines.com/tech/remov...lt1-crank-hub/

Says #1 is top dead center at 9 o'clock.

Looks wrong to me, I am pretty sure it should be 3 o'clock for 1 & 6 right?

                • it should look like this. if you look you will see a casting ridge on the hub and directly above that will be a short casting ridge like in the picture. line those up while at TDC

then you alighn the arrow on the balancer at the 12 o-clock also.

lol my bad. in that case brian is right. also if you have the dowel style opti you will notice a sleight key way groove to help you line everything.

                      • Yeah, I figured that out, I have it TDC for #6, I figured the dots on the cam & crank gears would be #1.

                        Thanks for the help.
