I just bought a moroso Oil pan for 40 bucks.
I hear you MUST have a deep oil pan to run the HIGH volume, Or it will empty your pan, i also hear of some guys getting away with running 5.8 quarts of oil on a stock pan.
I just run A stock new oil pump with the white spring, i think i stretched it as well. and welded my pickup tube in the CORRECT angle, And yea, Once i get my new motor built, im using the moroso pan and then the high volume pump.
Pretty much just use a stock modded oil pump until you can get a Good oil pan. I would of changed but no one wants to help me change my heads lol and im not putting a nice oil pan on a slow car.Last edited by Kwazrollinz28; June 8th, 2011, 11:45 PM.

once you get a Real pan I Would say get the HV pump
whats better, Shooting the oil through the motor faster? or shooting lots of oil through the motor and lubricating everything at 7000 rpm

Fred knowing your cheap ass we can turn a stock oil pump into a "high pressure" one by shimming the spring. We can also port it to flow better.
You can also run the stock pump re-sumped and just run a bigger filter. You can also use an oil filter sandwich to run the oil cooler.Joe - ATM SQUADAt the shop, watching them build my car.
