And if youre wondering what the step back is, I've determined I have the dreaded opti cancer!! I don't think I even got 10,000 miles out of that one.

I have the PCM, timing cover and crank sensor ready and waiting, but I don't have the coin to throw at the rest of the kit now that im no longer working. Gonna try to milk this stupid opti as long as i can, but I have ZERO intentions of replacing it. The next opti my car sees will indeed be in the form of an LS Juan system

Its just a little missfire for now, so i think i can make it last a while. Obviously it must not have been very happy with the 15 minute sessions at Grattan maintaining a continuous 2500-5000 rpm.

thanks brian! I'll let you know if i need it. (dont feel obligated to keep it) I'm not going to go through the hassle of replacing it over a little missfire right now. We'll see how it stands the test of time.... i guess i'd better not figure on any road racing on the other side of the state!

                        • I got them from a vendor on CorvetteForum, I think they are called Yonakas. They are the same racing seat Summit brands and sells as its own - but the only difference is mine has the colored stitching and does not have a flip forward function like the summits. I am very happy with them. Drove all the way across the state twice this weekend and while they are not the most comfortable things in the world, I managed to not have a sore back.... the stock seats always gave me a sore back.
