        • Thanks guys! Yes Kyle the replicas are heavier than factory Z06 wheels by a fairly substantial measure. Its a major difference in feel swapping to any of my other GM wheels.

          • Good to know. I'll have to see what the weight is on the OEWheels wheels that I'm looking to buy...granted, if I want that wheel in an 18, I don't have any other options...

Based on Amazon, that wheel shipping weight is 31 lbs. Figure maybe a pound or two of that is packaging. That's for an 18x8.5. The 18x8s I have on my Cobalt are 22lbs.

                  • So far I've spent some time inventorying parts, doing some light research on EFI Connection vs TorqueHead conversions, and researching Wideband oxygen sensors.

Figured id just copy my google-doc summary of preliminary research so far:

                    • I can't recall if you have any colored "touches" under the hood, but doing the valvecovers in the same(ish) color as your hood scoop could be cool.

Sounds like you have nearly all the parts. Also still sounds like it's quite a bit of work from the wiring side.

                      • As scary as repinning the harness sounds I don't think it will be too bad. Going 4L60e > T56 is much easier than the other way around. I'm probably going to be removing all but 3-4 wires from the trans harness and soldering new connectors on the remaining wires.

I want to do the valve covers in wrinkle black. The intake manifold and strut brace has some red to match the hood, but thats it.

                        • Oh, if those are already red (I couldn't remember), then black is the way to go.

                              The ones I'm looking at are C7 Z06 wheels...so the Z06 itself runs a 19x10 and a 20x12.
