              • OK - can anyone do me a huge favor and tell me why this (critical) connector on my racetronix kit wont lock into place? I am getting extremely impatient with this, and its likely going to end up broken and useless. This is exactly why i wanted the preassembled unit and I cant express how disgusted i am that there arent any on the market.

As it is right now, it seems to fit like it should... Nice and snug, but not quite snug enough that id trust it without the lock. (not that i would even think about accepting that kind of botch work)

                • lol, I had the same problem. Thought I was going nuts, I was at the same point of frustration as you.

IIRC, I think you have to take the old plastic connector off of the metal tube, then insert it and push in the green lock thing. I can't remember for sure, but I want to say there a new piece included in the kit that then goes over top and inserts in from the top that locks the connector as well.

Yeah, thats what i had to do to even get it started on the tube to the point it is now... Are you saying you locked it while the connector was removed from the tube? That couldnt work could it?

                    • Yes, you don't use the original plastic connector on the metal tube at all. IIRC that is.

                      • Like I said mine just clipped right on.
The fuel rail AN fitting your need to take the green thing out, put it on the line then push the connector onto it.
Least you didn't break your terminal fitting by trying to shove it in upside down.
Now I'm waiting on Racetronix to tell me how to order the wiring harness for the pump.

                          • Yeah hes right. Don't use the old plastic thing on the metal tube. The new hose just goes on and you push the green lock down and it locks onto the ridge on the metal tube.

                            • Ok, maybe not then. But either way, I'm pretty sure that plastic thing on the metal tube has to go. All I know is that I was at the same point as you, cursing the Racetronix guys up and down, and once I got it it was obvious that the connection was on tight. So don't settle for "good enough" IMO.
