For your car I would have the same suggestions, call LE or AI and have them spec you out a cam for your goals, you can't go wrong with either IMO.

to help you with your build we need to know the exact same things we asked mike:

I think everyone agrees with me on this one:

1.) let us know your real-world budget.

2.) how fast do you want the car to be? Theres a difference in making 9.0x power to running 10's

3.) is it going to be driven on the street?

4.) whats the idea for suspension/drivetrain (theres more to a car than the motor)

and as an addition to that, what kind of bottom end do you have now? Basically im not gonna be the one to tell you to throw the wildest H/C package on a stock bottom end with already tired out bearings. You might have costs to consider here as well.

or give AI or LE a call and they will spec you some parts but I almost gaurantee you are going to be asked the same questions by them.

money wise. its not an issue and i have stock rear end my goal this winter is to do cam and rebuild top end with replacing oem stock bottom end shit. i think you guys went way off and talked about someone elses stuff but i still havnt had any good input lol.

id like the car to be 12's this year and yes driving on the street and for 4 i'll have better clutch and gonna upgrade the drivetrain this sprin

you can run 12's easily with a cam only, stock bottom end LT1. something about a 23x/23x or 22x/23x will work pretty good for stock heads. PM me and I can point you in the right direction for a cam

i cracked a 12 with my 226/234 cam this fall. And i did it with a crap tune and a swiftly dying fuel pump.

Many cam only cars are in the 12s like ryan said.

This was at Lapeer dragway on street tires with a poor 60'. There is A LOT more left in this car I would not be surprised if I see this car go 12.0x this coming summer (cam only!)

FWIW I ran 12s with bolt ons and shorty headers. 12s is an easy request, just remember dont try to reinvent the wheel. Good luck, Eric L
