You get what you pay for, you wanna be cheap then you will most likely have problems with fitment. My pacesetters and y-pipe were $250 used and coating them myself was like another $15 and they fit without a single issue.

ebay stainless? Mine are awesome quality, took some tweaking of the Kmember to fit though. From the pacesetter install I saw people had to do it on those too.

Either he was REALLY excited - or he was taking it off a tripod.

              What size are the primaries?

I was taking it off the tripod and didn't edit it out of the video. The primaries are 1 and 7/8 but the video was with open headers. Really nice how I could feel it in my chest and the ashtray started shaking real bad on startup. I got the Y in and everything clamped and set for now, I'll post pictures and a sound clip with the catback tomorrow.

BTW these are the headers that Brian recommended to me a while ago off of ebay. The headers were $190 shipped, Y pipe is a pacesetter from Summit. I had to grind down a tab on my block on the driver's side and do some "clearing" on the floorpan there but you can't see it otherwise. It was two days of excitement...especially yesterday when the power went out and I couldn't take a shower after all day of rolling around in the dust and oil. I also needed my impact and air so I ended up using our generator.

If you bought the ones in the link you posted, they are 1 & 3/4. There isn't any need for 1 & 7/8 on a stock LS1.

I kinda forgot exactly what size they were but they're probably 1.75. How important is the tunnel brace and can I put in spacers to drop it? My Y is kinda pinned against it, with a lot of pressure.

the wavy plate is junk IMO I took it off years ago.

we put 3/8 spacers between tunnel brace and floor pan so y pipe doesn't rattle with vibration.

What do you think the purpose of the plate is Jeff? I didn't think it was really structural considering that one of the brackets connecting it to the floorpan is sheetmetal held by 4 spotwelds...And I was thinking of putting 1" spacers in there made of black ironpipe, welded, with another washer welded on the other end so the bolt won't flex inside the spacer. Think I'll just take it off for now and focus on other issues. Damn I should've done motor mounts. Didn't think it would only take me 2 days to do it. In the spring I guess.

that plate is a tunnel brace but as I mentioned I know several guys that have removed it the first time they got underneath the car and never looked back, my torque arm mounts there now.

OK guys I'm sorry to taunt you like this but I've got some more video and pictures of the install except my aircard has like 200MB of usage left before they start charging us 25c/MB. Anyways I have to say that it's a lot louder I get a lot more good stares and I wanna punch it every time I hit the throttle but I shift at 2k...right where it really starts sounding beautiful. I also heard a tip from a customer at work who put headers on his car, he said to put an extra washer on the header bolts because some of the aftermarket ones bottom out before seating the gasket but feel tight, causing exhaust leaks. I'm leaving for college Monday morning and I doubt I'll have money/time in the near future to do too much more because I'm planning on going year-round. Probably not worth it to put a monster cam and great heads on a motor with 101k on it so,

If I decide to eventually get an LS3 these headers won't fit it will they?

Oh yes and I feel like an idiot for not doing motor mounts because I over estimated how much time this project would take me.
