shimming the oil pump requires the removal of what, 1 bolt? that isn't a huge deal imo, although I don't know what o-ring ur talking about?

the oil pump is between the balancer and the timing chain. The oil pickup is bolted the the main cap. if the engine is out most people open up the mount hole so it can be moved a little.

double roller timing set while ur in there?

double rollers suck. oil pump has to be shimmed. then the risk of pinching the pick up o-ring increases. An Ls2 unit FTW
