Agreed, even $20,000 would buy a pretty nice one, be it 1st or 2nd gen will have a hell of a lot more style then these things too. I'll take a 70-73 RS/Z28 please.............

Don't have the money, Don't really like the look of the new one (its not bad but its not great either), Don't want a new car, I like older cars, you can remove the emissions on them and not have a problem. Plus there are less "saftey controls" on older cars.

if he's prepaid your dad may want to rethink letting the dealer hold that amount of cash in these uncertain timesOriginally posted by 1fstss View Postmy dad has had one bought and paid for for over a year, him and the lady at the dealership did some kentucky math and figured out roughly how much the new camaro would retail for, so they just kept putting in order after order till it took. but i think he decided to wait a year for the convertable, hes keeping the order in i believe. but he is a persistand faulker! this is also how he got his 35th, he had no idea what it ws going to look like but he still put the order in. oh and FYI i know its a violation for a dealer to put the orders in so soon but they still did it for my dad. also todd (tenpin) can back this up!
- regardless of what dog & pony show the dealer put on for him, as of the time of this posting there are no provisions in the electronic ordering guide for the Camaro or any 2010 vehicle for that matter
- they cartainly may have taken his money and assured him that his has been ordered, but at most he has been placed on an internal dealer order list and they are just holding the money as a deposit and collecting interest on it
- we are supposed to receive our order & pricing guidelines sometime in October and official orders are going into the cue around November 1 (no date as yet)Last edited by TSTONE; July 30th, 2008, 10:44 AM.

That is exactly how we handled the Sky for almost a year before it came out. We had the customer come in leave their $1000 deposit, fill out a buyers order, and it got them in line for when we had cars allocated to us, then we would place their actual order.sigpic2001 Red WS6 M6 7,000 miles (just turned)

Would rather have a Challenger. Never been Mopar guy, but it's a better looking car IMO.sigpicWe live in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. If you're not willing to defend her, you're not worthy to live here, so get out.
