          I agree with you guys on this only if you were to buy a 5th gen and keep it just for putting on 1k miles a year and never see rain/snow.

          Now, I would not spend 40K or even 20K on a 70-73 RS/Z28 if I were to use it almost everyday and put 10kmiles on it. It's hard to get 100Kmi warranty and the reliablity out of a first gen or even a second gen.

          Just think, you can hop in your 5thgen when it's pouring rain out, not worry about anything, turn on the AC (with the most efficient air flow pattern) and put on some tunes and head to your next destination with sub 20mpg!

          I guess it all depends on what your intentions are with a 5thgen.
