right, but as stated the avenger is NOT a short car. Hell even the trunk lid of the new ford focus looks like it is twice as high as it needs to be. I dont need a trunk big enough to haul dead bodies around in a 4cyl coupe. what is the point of having small cars if they arent actually small??? You only have to compare back about 5-10 years to see the differences in design standards.

Even the G5 I almost bought brand new seemed tall to me. I did like the car though and if it wouldve had cruise control I would have bought it. but for me it seemed more effective to go with something older that fit my needs better.... a camaro Dont get me wrong, I love the v6 Camaro but deep down something seems wrong about using one as a DD. I think its very sad that 1999 car with a V6 is getting me 25 MPG straight city CONSISTENTLY (even when I am beating on it!) when the smaller 2008 econobox is rated less than that. Its because the car is lower and light. I cant believe im saying that either because I always thought 4th gens needed to go on a diet. We are living in a time when the weight has to go, and thats exactly why i bought the DD i did.

I would still rather have a GTO just because there are very few here. The current Mustang will be affordable once the Camaro and new Mustang come out, so someone could slip into a 05+ Mustang for cheap. To be completely honest, I think the current mustang looks better than everything except 02 Firehawks. They have my favroite interior too. Alot of us didnt get to live the 60's and 70's so I like retro and trying to re-create what my parents got to do. Its just too bad a Cobalt can give a Mustang GT a run for its money, perhaps more would be willing to buy one if they had a pair.

Was cruzzen beside me for a little bit , Sorry had the grand prix. But it had some exhaust put on Sounded good and was loud when he jumped on her.., aftermarket wheels with some good meat on the back, and heard a little bit of wine from the engine compartment area he kicked it down twice for me,, all i said was HOLLY SHIT. it moved very nicely.. it was a younger guy in his early 30's.. Almost looked like someone was out trying some parts out... IDK... BUT SOUNDED GOOD AND RAN GOOD ..

cant see the pictures but A car that is tall AND low is going to weigh more than one that is just tall

its not like the mustang is an exception by any means here. It clearly gained dimension over its original just the same.

Car does not looks tall at ALL.

Mustang looks WAY bulkier and taller.

that doesnt change mind... at ALL? So far you have compared to two cars that suffer from the SAME problem.

you dont think mustang got taller?? really? Even if its not much taller, there are clearly larger dimensions. Dont look at the hood too much since its not the stock "GT" hood, but the same phenomenon still exists. Its a shame i cant find a picture from the rear angle because that is significantly worse than the front. Note how they had to put the side stripe on a raked angle to put make the grossly huge rear end look right.

Avengers are indeed tall! I almost took a comparison picture of one in the parking lot for you yesterday. One was parked next to a kia of the same size and the trunk lid was AT LEAST a foot taller. A foot of height difference is rediculous. The roofline was nearly the same situation, not as bad. but that means that blind spots are worse on the avenger to boot.

But, to compare, from the front the Camaro looks to be nicely inbetween the 1st gen Mustang and the newer Mustang. Let's wait until we get the car so we can get more side-by-side comparisons.

I dont think i should feel the need to have a side by side comparison. Im not trying to be a smartass here, but thats like saying I should be happy with a girl thats moderately thin instead of a thin one because the comparison is "OK." Im not.
