I hate to say it but as time goes on I like the camaro less and less and the challenger more and more.

But at the end of the day, I am kinda with Jasen. The originals of ALL THREE of the cars are way higher on my 'gotta have' list. All three of em are unecessarily big, and that is something I practically cant stand. I have to say the mustang looks the least "bloaded" and agree they hit a home run.

IMO, this is the best looking pony car EVER made. (this is my uncles car) and hell, Ill go as far as saying I think it is the best looking car made. I absolutely cannot take my eyes off this thing when it is around, its like trying not to look at a hot naked girl. too bad the car and division is dead. I have combed every square inch of the car over, and I have determined that there is only ONE thing i dont like about its looks... and that would be that funky bar/radiator support that is visible in the air dam. (easy to paint black)

its not a good picture. but I will stand by that statement as long as I live, unless something better is made. That car is what started my love of the automobile.

        here's a better picture:

i have a soft spot for late 60 early 70 mopar but i cant get over the fact that the challanger is just to big. yea its sexy but i want a combo of good looks and speed. the camaro could use some work in the looks department but i would still get one over a challanger

                See any resemblance???

Considering the whole car is bloated, too tall and heavy -- no the mirrors llook just right.

Here is my definitive answer on why I don't like the Challenger... I finally was able to put the nail on this one.

Man, the Camaro is NOT big at all.

                    It's smaller than an Avenger.

as far as wheelbase? Im talking height here, and hell even the avenger is too tall in my opinion. Tall cars look like hell, and not only are they heavy... they have to move more air. So in conclusion. Tall car = -2 points for MPG, -1 for style. but +328947238904 for safety !!one11!!

Brian, i agree completely. the area you highlighted is the area of the 1970 body they stretched out.

So is he -- it might not seem like it but the Camaro is actually a good 3-6 inches shorter than the Avenger.

If it makes anyone feel any better, the Challenger has already been cancelled...currently slated to run to 2012 and then end...

Yep, yet we have to hope it does well so we get a 6th gen that doesn't look like a bastardized 69 from some futuristic movie.

In case they sell to many and make money they don't want to ruin their plummeting sales? Maybe they figure the retro market will fizzle by then.

Maybe the mirrors are a little goofy, but I didn't think they looked bad at all yesterday, that said if I had the extra money I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Nope, it was never slated to be a large volume program.

Originally it was only 35,000 vehicles a year...recently got bumped to 48,000.

So it's always been intended as a halo car...and Cerebus evidently doesn't want a halo car.

Not like the 300K forecast for the Camaro...
