  • [Pics] Look what is in out parking lot at work right now...

Went outside for a walk at break, saw a crowd gathered, heard a throaty V8 rev up a little. Got closer, a brand new black Dodge Challenger SRT8 W/6.1L Hemi somebody just bought. Slotted Rotors, Brembo Calipers, I forgot to check the wheel size but they look like 19 or 20's. Very cool looking car.

I like After now seeing the challenger in person, this thing is sex on wheels and it confirms my position on the new Camaro. I know I'll get flamed for this yet again, but Dodge/Chrysler got it right, this thing looks badass, I don't care if it is heavier, I love it and the 5th gen Camaro just doesn't draw me in when I have been close to it like this car does.

I took pics with my phone, needless to say, the 1.3 megapixel on it sucks. But its all I got and gives you an idea.

i'll second that dodge did a better job with design than chevy did with the camaro. i love camaro's like no other, but they just don't pull me as much. something with the simple design for the challenger just made it pop.

Won't get flamed by me...I've been on the Challenger bandwagon from the beginning.

Outside of the interior being pretty bland, I can't really fault it.

Wait a year until the new big Hemi comes out...

                    Challengers are sweet.

                    So is the Camaro.

                    I like them both.

Here we go again ........... not a fan of the Challenger. It's not ugly, just way too retro for my taste. I already lived through 1970 and don't need to do it again.

And the thing I like most about the new Camaro is that it's NOT so retro. It makes you think of 1969, without rehashing it all over again.

I see your point about not reliving the 70's Doug, but the first thing I think of when I see the Camaro is a 69, and not a good one. To me it looks like something that was bastardized for a movie. I think it should have either been more retro like the Challenger & Mustang or went completely new, the latter choice being my preference.

Everybody likes something different, to each their own, I'll take a Challenger.

Next time I'll just post up a thread I saw a car, instead of using the only camera I had available.

Yeah, the Challenger is way better looking than the Camaro.
But there is one problem with both these cars. They're trying to look like cars from 40 years ago (the Camaro less so). The big 3 should be moving forward with designs, not trying to relive their glory days. Those were awesome cars, but you can't live in the past.
I'm much more active on TGO as they have more info pertaining to my model, but I do stop by from time to time.
