  • steering wheel shakes at 70mph plus. bad vibration upon slow down

Like the title says. Getting a bad vibration at 70+ and when I slow down.

What can this be? Haven't checked anything out yet.
    Where should I start?

slow down? as in applying brakes or coasting. may have two issues. tire balance and warped rotors

Did it just start happening? Lose a weight from a wheel? So, it vibrtes when coasting or braking?

I did put new tires on these rims and didn't balance them.

When I slow down I do feel my brake pedal pulsate also. Time to have the rotors checked.

Vibrates when coasting and braking. Seems to get worse when braking.

But it doesn't do it at 55 or lower. The most I feel is the brake pedal
          Pulse

Start with balancing the tires, then go with checking the rotors.

make sure that you bolted the wheels on after balancing, star pattern and proper torque specs. BUT I agree more so tire balance and warped rotors

Do uou guys know if the ls1 front rotors work for lt1 front brakes?
Cause I have a set I was going to put on once I did my ls1 front brake
Conversion. But never had the chance to get calipers.

And I'm thinking warped rotor and balance. Ill have the rotors
Checked to see if they're true or not.

how does this even happen did you request they not balance them? Unless its a small trailer tire or something I can't say I have ever heard of this?

anytime the tire is unmounted from the rim they should get rebalanced, if the tire takes a huge amount of weight on one side, unmount the tire and rotate 180* then rebalance. while you have the tires off the ground check for play in the steering and ball joints.

smh... do you really think you can not balance tires and get them to not shake?
