The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. That's cause you didn't have to look at them everyday....hahaha....I love my old wheels too...you would have thought I was giving away a child by how I was talking to the new owner about them and how to take care of them....I'm sure he found it humorous. I thought about keeping them and having them widened and chromeplated. But then I would have just as much into them as getting new forged 3 piece wheels which is just a better quality wheel all around.
But...it's just time for something new.....plus I want an 18x11 for the rear, also I was absolutley sick of the upkeep on them...that's what started this whole ball rolling. The new wheels will be as close to zero upkeep as possible......Looking at wheels on the internet is one thing, but when you see them in person they usually look different.
If upkeep is goal then you don't want any of the 3 posted. Rivits and bolts are a PIA to clean around, and In my opinion look like shit on any wheel. I think you need to keep looking! .02

That is very nice, I've seen that car before. That's one reason I like the Spyder so much....the designs are close, but the Spyder is a little higher tech looking due to the complicated machining and the concave center.
Check these bad mamba jambas out....19x12 rear with a crazy lip......this wheel shows the extra deep concave design that all the above wheels are availible in. I love how the spoke runs out onto the lip. I could not fit a backspacing like this but even if the spokes run out closer to the edge it would still look killer.....I think these wheels actually look closer to the factory IROC's than than the Slide I posted above. I think these would look perfect with a chrome lip vs. the brushed.

haha...that deep concave design is fricken sweet.....I wish I could afford to have my 9" rear narrowed down an inch or so per side so I could have lips like that...lol. The Spyder would look killer in that deep concave design but would make cleaning the lips torture on the fingers. I'm still up in the air on the hidden vs. exposed hardware...I hate harware showing on wheels that don't need them...ie..fake. But I think on a real 3-piece wheel where they are an actual functional part of the wheel make the wheels look a little more hardcore. I'm not too worried about them making it harder to clean the wheels because they really won't. That portion of the wheel will either be powdercoated or clear coated so I won't be bashing my finger tips into the bolt heads trying to polish around them. The objective with these new wheels will be to hit them with soapy water and a nylon bristle brush, hose off and blow dry with compressed air. I have retired my billet polishing arsenal.
I've gotta go with #1 with hidden hardware. #3 is too loud, just screams look at me and distracts from the rest of the car. IMO you want wheels to be an accent, not the focal point
