Picking new wheels for the IROC

Way ahead of you buddy...There were 2 reason's i ordered this style wheel...1) they look kinda like a factory IROC wheel and 2) the pockets of the spokes could easily be switched up for a different look. I already have a plan to try something a little different....hint...it involves what you saw on my car at BergerOriginally posted by OVRKILL View Post
Those are going to look killer James!!!! Why am I thinking the center of the spokes could (should?) be powder coated an accent color.....
The wheel is actually clear powdercoated so adding additional powdercoating would not work....but paint or vinyl will work just fine.

The minitub is coming along. I did as much as I possibly could until I actually got the wheels. I didn't get my wheels until friday of last week and we left sunday morning for Florida so I couldn't do any more work. Basically I have all the old wheel wells cut out as well as frame mods done. I started forming the new tubs on friday morning and that's how it sits. Hopefully next weekend I can get the rubber mounted on the wheels and get some better mock up pics.Originally posted by Lucky SOB View PostThose look really nice James!
How's the mini-tub project coming? I'd really like to see pictures...

Are your frame mods just removing the bumpstop material? Looking forward to seeing this done!Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostThe minitub is coming along. Kinda...yes the bumpstop area is completely gone now. Basically that whole ribbed wall the holds the bump stop as well as forms one side of the spring pocket is gone to. On the drivers side I had to notch into the frame rail about 3/8" towards the rear. I'm hoping that's all I have to cut out for now. I'll have to see what it looks like once I get the tires mounted onto the wheels. It's going to be very tight in there but I'm aiming for at least 1/2" clearance between the rubber and the inner frame/wheel house. I was hoping to be able to use the stock coil spring but it looks like I'm going to have to go with Wolfe Racecraft small OD spring kit.Originally posted by scholtmj View PostAre your frame mods just removing the bumpstop material?
