OK. Looks like I may just get a either a comp clutch stage 4 or stage 5. I don't want to do a clutch again if end up doing this. I need to do lifters because I think one pooped out. Or its just an Injector. OR THE OPTI OOOOOH NOOOOOOO

Supposedly this holds 400 whp/wtq. I will be approaching that after a H/C/I. Any thoughts?

Edit: oops stage 3 only holds 300-325 lol.

Stage 4 holds more.. I think this is what I'm gonna buy..

I always try and get a clutch that will hold 30-40% more power than i plan to make, just for peace of mind.

Side note: Does a HCI LT really only make around 400? Don't they make almost 300 stock?

        • Depends on what kind of power you want. I'm probably going a little more mild than wild because DD. LE1 or the AI equivalent would Probably put me around 390 at the wheels.. LE2.. 430..

My HCI is coming next year most likely unless I earn a butt load at work. But now I see the clutch is sub 300.. Oh I don't know now

I'm already blowing my stock clutch at the top end I think. Or my wheels are spinning lol.

            • JoeliusZ28 sorry to be a nuisance but does your stage 4 have good street manners? Like good daily driving manners. it looks like that's what I'm going to be ordering when the time comes.

              • Yes it does.

And stock rwhp is not 300 for an LT1... They were rated 275 at the fly. 250 wheel is pretty typical for stock. Anyway, the stage 4 is holding my 370rwhp no problem. Grabs hard on a normal WOT shift. But i will say powershifting it at my power level is pushing its limits, it slips a tad under that abuse.

If it wasn't for the taillights, the car would be perfect.

                        • The first Camaro I looked at before looking at mine (the third I looked at) had god awful tails like that.

                          • Those looked better than the ones with the chrome backing.. they are hideous. I believe that whoever owns this car also goes to OU, because I could've sworn I've seen it there before. I honestly think if you blacked them out completely, they would look a lot better.

Although nothing is better than 93-96 taillights..

agreed, it's probably some special edition one that costs and arm and a leg too.
