  • Yeah, I know. Just figured they would come out the top if they were installed from the top. They are only shorties.

Oh well, I'll tackle it tomorrow or Wednesday. Not as bad as I thought they would be to remove.

    • Any vacuum line that went to an emission device can be capped. Be careful though one of those is for your opti vent system. Another alternative is adding a vacuum gauge on one of those ports... Im liking mine

              • Thanks you two. I'll be ordering soon. I"ll get a pod from Mcalus too. Going to do Vacuum, AFR, and Fuel Pressure. I'm a complete noob when it comes to wiring just about anything, so I may have questions when I get them.

Rained today and I slept half the day so I didn't do anything with the headers. If all goes well tomorrow then old ones should be out, and new ones test fitted. Hopefully i can make it to Woodward friday.

                    • Decided to call it a day. Went for a few hours. These BBK headers are a pain in the ass to remove.
I got the driver side out. I can't get the passenger side part of the exhaust out though. I'm going to go back at it Friday since it's supposed to rain tomorrow I think.

Y'all should come over and help me Friday [emoji14]

I got the driver side out with ease. The passenger side.. well not so much. I'm still working on it. I'm going to run an open y pipe and take it to a exhaust shop because the rear hanger is bent. I had the cross member that holds the exhaust up and when I disconnected the passenger side at the header it fell down and the cat was about 3 inches from hitting my head.. I think I'm going to need another O2 extension too.. The sensors seem to be short.. I dunno. I'll find out Friday.

You can see the O2 sensor. Does that look like the correct length for a stock O2 sensor?

                        • oh yeah. Before I had problems on the highway with the car shaking like hell. When I came back to Troy from Port Huron, the car only shook a little. Once I torque down the PHB and install the LCAs, it will probably smooth out more. I'm pleased with the quality of the founders suspension pieces. I also have relocation brackets to install.

First time doing em. They'll be on tomorrow after I remove the stock y pipe. I've put about 4-6 hours in removal, and I work at a snails pace.

                              • To be fair, and if I recall correctly, BBK kind of crammed those ****ers in there. First Camaro I looked at had them and it had approximately zero room in there - as bad or worse than manifolds.
