Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I'm glad you enjoyed my company, lol. Was a fun day.
With LPP (XS Power is the same, LPP farms their design to be fabricated by this company) you won't have to grind anything. With Pacesetter headers you will need to do some fitment modifications more than likely.

Gotcha. I've been doing quite a bid of studying and reading on them. I'm due to catch a break, so I have a fair chance in not having problems.
Read my build thread... I transferred it from another site to here finally today. You will see there is no such thing as a break... More like shit breaks, haha!
Did some parts ordering today.. Got some resistors so I can disable the VATS and no longer have the security light lit..
Also ordered my front parking brake cable.. took me a year eh? ....Wherethe cable is stripped.....jpg
Its stripped at that small piece of cable.. hopefully that doesn't turn into a nightmare to fix Should be here friday, should be on over the weekend.. I can finally get rid of my block of wood now!
I leave it in gear, I just put the wood for "oh shit" moments. You never know what can happen

I was trying to find you all day to talk to you. Your car looked great. Didnt see you until i was already in my car leaving though!
However i have to disagree on the headers. Ive installed 3 sets of the LPP design and all three were a nightmare... Not even remotely close to fitting out of the box. I can install pacesetters in half the time and plug access is 100x better. To each their own though. My coated pacesetters have been on my car for 11 years and i only have light surface rust. for a fair weather car stainless is overrated imo. Ceramic contains the heat better.

I said hello when you pulled up, car looked good. Heard about your car too though man You'll fix it don't worry! My car looked good, I should've waxed it and did a better job in cleaning it.. I go for the meet up, not for the trophies. My car isn't anywhere near some of the guys on here.
I value everybody's opinion when it comes to headers because LT1s maybe have a reputation for shitty fitment, maybe they don't. I've seen the way pacesetters go in. For most people, they have an easy time. The LPPs have improved greatly by the looks of it. I looked at threads from 2010ish, and fitment was absolute shit. Found a 2014 thread that says they fit good with just some minor frame rail issues. It's actually a member on here. http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread...ht=LPP+install
I'm thing about doing the LS1 steering shaft swap too to help with the install. When my shortys were installed, the shaft was moved over, I'd have to get a picture of it. But I don't think it will be necessary for the swap, as there is plenty of room now. LTs take up more room though so.
I have gen3 LPP headers and also explained to Dan what I like and dislike about them. I agree, the plugs are harder to remove in two areas. But Pacesetters had tough spots as well. They all have their ups and downs but the overall quality of the Pacesetter is what irritated me the most. I shouldn't have to bore out the inner welds due to poor welding.
Funny thing, I erased codes before the M&G, so I wouldn't have a CEL. On my way home it came on for emissions. I believe it was only P0400 or something like that. It was EGR related. I hadn't erased the codes in over a week.
So today, I did about 30 miles. No light. Decide to scan it just 10 minutes ago before I installed the new canister purge valve. Only code was 1441 and it was pending. So, out of nowhere.. my post cat O2, Air injection, and potentially EGR codes have all disappeared/fixed themselves lol. Funny stuff..
Also my exhaust seems to be leaking on the passenger side.. Found some water, not coolant, under that side.. So.. +1 for LTs again..

OK so.. Ever since I've gotten my new tires, I've been having a problem..
The roads at my school are a little weird. I've noticed it more here. Whenever I drive over a bumpy road and hit the brakes, the low trac light will come on sometimes. I'm going to try and loosen the suspension since I have it on the tightest setting from having the 315s and see if that helps..
When I had it at the shop, I was told the panhard bar was twisted 180° In other words, it wasn't in properly. We concluded it was probably done to make the massive tires fit.
If the suspension loosening doesn't help, I'll look into a new PHB..
