That's not a bad idea right there. I might even be able to run the ground wires off that too. Doesn't have to be pretty anyway. It'll all be hidden when all is said and done.

After thinking about it a bit that might not be best... if I ever have to pull the shelf back out of the car the relays would probably be in the way. The shelf was a tight fit as it is. Had to really wiggle that thing around to get it to drop in right. I was hoping to mount the relays right to the shelf so in the future all I'd have to do was unplug them from the harness and out comes the shelf... unless there's enough room to mount them behind that spare tire bracket... I'll have to look at it at lunch time.

Maybe mount the relays on the bottom of the shelf? maybe to the legs?

Too hard to get to that way. Again, the shelf is a tight fit right now. I think the spare tire bracket is the way to go after all. There is plenty of room behind it so that's probably the route I'm going to go.

On another note, my order details from Jeg's says the bags and brackets have now shipped. No tracking number but I assume I should get that in the next day or two. So since they come direct from Ridetech I should see those some time middle of next week.

Just had a brilliant idea! The install instructions say to leave the exhaust port of the valve body open (for obvious reasons) but instead of doing that I should get me a whoopie cushion...

and fit it over the exhaust port... so every time I lay Jessica down instead of the traditional shhhhhhhhhhhh sound... Hahahahahaha

Had to tear the rear seats out and pull up the carpet but the wiring for the switches are routed now.

The switches are installed in the center console as well.


I ran the air lines from the compressors to the tank and the valve block to the tank as well.

I was going to run the air lines for the gauges threw the center console as well but decided against it after the struggle with the wire harness. I'm going to run them along the door sill instead. I suppose that's my objective tomorrow. That and mounting the relays and grounds.

Got some progress done today (not as much as I'd like) but there it is. Gauges are installed and lights for them all work. Yay.

I like them there. My only issue is that you can still see the white housing behind the panel. I might just have to take them out and either spray them or vinyl wrap them black. Details are important after all.
Got most of the wiring done in the back too. Grounds are done. Relays are mounted (ended up taking your suggestion Scott - thank you). Wires are zip tied. Overall I'm satisfied with the job.

It's not the prettiest but i keep telling myself that it's all going to be hidden when it's over so don't stress. But it's hard to make that perfectionistic side shut the hell up sometimes.
Now all that's left to do is run the power wires from the relays to the battery and Route the air lines from the valve block to the gauges then it's just a waiting game for the bags to show up from FedEx.

Bags and brackets gotta get here first. They shipped last week but i dont have a tracking number yet... I would assume ill have them some time next week but seeing as how its my wifes birthday next Sunday and Jessica is my daily driver (the bags gotta be done on the weekend) best case senario - bag install in 2 weeks. *sighs*

Got a box in the mail today. Not quite as big as the first but impressive nonetheless.

Again packaged very well with lots of black foam wrapping. No bubble wrap
They look to be very good quality. It's going to be a few weeks before these go in though so please stay tuned.
Rears...

Fronts....

One thing that puzzles me is that along with all the hardware the fronts came with the 90o air fitting... but the rears did not. It's not mispackaged, the rears just don't come with the fittings.... strange.

I might have some fittings for 1/4" line, what size thread on the bags?

1/4" ntp threads. They'd need to be 90 degree push to connect fittings. Freaking Ridetech wants $5 a piece for them...

Do you really need 90° for the rear? By the looks, 1/4" line will flex enough to work

Unfortunatly yes. The way the upper bracket is designed there's only about 1/2" - 3/4" of space between it and the surface of the spring cup. With a straight fitting it would without a doubt pinch the air line. I could of course try to drill a hole up into the trunk area to route the air line up and into the interior of the car and make the straight fitting work but I'd rather not do that if i don't have to.

Actually, I might not be in bad shape. I still have some straight fittings left over from the compressor system (why I have more than needed I don't know) but I figure if i need to i can swap out a couple of the 90o fittings from the valve block for straight fittings and use those for the rear bags. In fact thats probably what I'm going to do. Problem fixed.
