I'm working with Scott at Bigbrakeupgrade to get an ls1, ctsv park brake set up. This will work on 3rd and 4th gen set ups.

@hoogiesngrinderz

I think this is what you mean? http://www.flynbye.com/catalog/i182.html

So I pick up some 12" C4 rotors and LT1 calipers and I'm set? I quick read an install and the axle shafts come out, right?

Those are for drum rear (those are the plates I run)

You would need http://www.flynbye.com/catalog/i196.html but you might want to email Ed to verify they are for the LT1 style caliper. Unless you buy used, most places have a core charge on the LT1 calipers or a high price ($130 each) but I happen to have a set of cores...for a fee of course!

I'm still up in the air about switching over to my LS1 rear brakes or keeping the LT1/C4 setup for the time being.

Roger. I don't have the cash for the rears just yet so I'm just going to focus on the fronts for the time being. How much of a job is taking the axles out and putting the rears all together?

Axles can be pulled in 15 minutes or less. Figure another 1.5-2 hours for cleaning, assembly, fluids, and bleed.

You are planning on running C4 rotors and LT1 calipers on the front?

LS1 rotors/calipers up front. Mike has talked me into C4 rotors/LT1 calipers in back.

Master cylinder took a dump today. Ordered one to replace on Saturday.

Replaced the master cylinder today. Decided to not bleed the brakes so hopefully it forces me to upgrade to ls1 brakes soon

Hey guys,

I need to grab some roller lifters here pretty soon, and the prices made me cry.
Would it be a bad thing if I went with these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/su...make/chevrolet ?

Not really looking to spend 200 bucks on the name brand stuff if I don't have to. Gotta save the pennies to pay hoogiesngrinderz for the injectors and help

I've reused 5 sets of lifters after inspecting them. Only found one set to have any bad markings on the rollers, the rest I soaked in mineral spirits and agitated then placed them in a fresh vat of oil.

If you want new just get the LS7 lifters. I've never bought new myself...well, I did pull a set off the assembly line once

I still have your LB9 roller lifters. Those might work.
